Yes, it is necessary to weigh what you are willing to lose in order to fit in with one group or another. But code switching does not determine your drive or how many degrees you will receive. Knowing how to change lanes simply makes getting to your destination easier. You must decide what is relevant, how it can work for you and remember to keep your own pace.
